IRISH MTB XC NPS RD 3-MAGHERAMORNE, LARNE
Round three of the Irish Mountain Bike Cross Country NPS takes place this Sunday 25th May, at Magheramorne Quarry near Larne in County Antrim, promote by Team Madigan.  This vast expanse, owned by the Lafarge Company, formerly the Blue Circle Cement Works, was first used last year for a round of the NPS.  The venue may not be what is classed as ‘normal’ mtb terrain, no forest etc, however the course features a number of technical challenges.

RAT RACE ARRIVES ON THE EMERALD ISLE
The Rat Race reaches Ireland. The much-loved event, having experienced runaway success in Britain, is now set to reach the shores of the Emerald Isle with 2 new and exciting events planned for Galway and Belfast this summer.  Coming to Belfast for the first time and operating from an event base at City Hall on 09th August, the Rat Race sees competitors running, biking, kayaking, abseiling, climbing and navigating their way around the city in a course that is only revealed hours

XCO NPS #2 CARLINGFORD FOREST -4th of May
XCO NPS # 2 is in Carlingford Forest, starting and finishing in the Top Carpark in the Forest north of C'ford Village, Co. Louth

Featuring a course designed by top Vet Aidan McDonald, and The Bull McCabe's. It is the same course used last year during the K-Capital Series.

The Categories and entry fees as usual. Laps will be decided on the day as we all know the weather can make a big difference.

Sign on will be open on Sunday from 9.00am

The K-Capital Cup may have just finished but the MTB action keeps on coming. This weekend Irish MTB fans are spoilt for choice, with two events taking place in one of Ireland’s most beautiful counties, Wicklow. On Sunday the opening round of the Irish XC league takes place at Ballianstoe while close by at Carrick Mountain,Glenealy round two of the Irish DH League will be base. Promoted by Sorrento CC, the MTB XC event takes place in the vicinity of the new Coilte MTB Trails at Ballinastoe. The course will use most of the old trail network. Davis wins final round of K Capital Cup - by Andy Potts
The curtain came down on the 2008 International K-Capital Cup Cross Countyr Mountain Bike Series on Sunday at the beautiful setting of Castlewellan Forest Park in County Down. Promoted by the XMTB Club, the event attracted an entry of almost 200, bringing the total entries over the four races to almost 900. Weather conditions may have been windy and cool; however the course was in pristine condition, allowing for fast, close racing.....

K Capital Cup Round 4
Following three pulsating and action packed events, the 2008 International K-Capital Cup reaches a climax this weekend at Castlewellan Forest Park in County Down.  Promoted by the XMTB Club, round four takes place on one of the best courses in the country.  The 2008 K-Capital Series has proved to be a total success, with entries for the first three rounds totalling well over the 600 mark.  The best three rounds out of the four count towards a riders overall ranking and competitors are reminded that in order to qualify for an overall finish the final round must be started.  Riders should note that a few changes have....

Robin Seymour (Team Worc) confirmed his place for the Beijing Olympics by finishing runner up to BCF rider Ian Bibby at Djouce Woods in County Wicklow on Sunday. The event was the third round of the International K-Capital Cup Series, though more importantly for Seymour it was the last of three Olympic selections races. The thoughts of the stifling heat that will greet Olympians in China was far from most peoples thoughts on Sunday as Djouce Woods saw a mixture of weather
